Argentina Simplifies License Process for Healthcare Professionals

Argentina's Ministry of Health is modernizing the national licensing system for doctors and nurses to reduce bureaucracy and allow them to focus on patient care.

Argentina Simplifies License Process for Healthcare Professionals

The Ministry of Health reported that as part of its modernization strategy, a key process has been initiated to allow future graduates of health careers to obtain their national license more quickly and easily. The main objective of this management is clear: to enable doctors and nurses to fully focus on their training and on caring for the population, eliminating unnecessary administrative barriers, the ministry learned from the Argentine News Agency.

A Modernized and Digitized System

This new stage is based on improvements already implemented by the Ministry, which has updated a system that had not been modernized for years:

• License with No Expiration: The need to renew the national license has been eliminated. • Digital Access: The license can now be checked directly from the Mi Argentina app.

Integrated Licensing in Universities

Now, the great novelty is the coordination of a new joint work scheme with the Association of Faculties of Medical Sciences (A.FA.CI.ME.R.A.).

This collaboration will allow future professionals to manage the acquisition of their national license directly at the medical schools, along with the processing of their degree title. This measure seeks to significantly reduce bureaucratic burdens, simplifying the process for those professionals who are about to begin their practice.

The Ministry of Health is committed to advancing shortly with the implementation of this benefit for the rest of the careers whose licenses are issued by the national health portfolio.
